Hand crafted with the environment in mind

Bamboo blue ipad coverHug Your Tablet was born from the idea to offer a hard cover that hugs your precious tablet like no other cover does. We always look to innovate, improve, to reinvent, to make our tablet look better and more than anything protected.  It’s in our DNA, Hug Your Tablet can’t be better if it doesn’t consider everything, her products, our values, and even stronger commitment to the environment, to use greener material, less packaging, to do everything we can to benefit people  as well as the planet.

To us creativity drives us to build things we’d never imagined, new product designs that always make use of recycled materials to reduce our impact on the environment.  Whether it’s renewable bamboo, recycled paper, chipboard, and cover material, water base glue or any other component, it is carefully chosen and tested with the environment in mind.

    Why we chose Bamboo

Bamboo is a grass, not wood, It’s durable, plentiful, very quick to grow. Bamboo forest plantation reaches maturity in 4-6 years and culms can be harvested 2-3 years later; trees typically are harvested after 20 to 50 years or more.Bamboo has a higher compressive strength than wood, brick or concrete and a tensile strength that rivals steel. That “green” 100% recyclable material has outgrown its tropical look. Thanks to advanced engineering and technology, bamboo is the plant of a thousand uses, you can build with it, eat it, make cloth and best of all Hug Your Tablet uses it to build its cases to hold your tablet.

    Why we chose Eska board

The Eska board used to make the hard case is FSC certified is 100% recyclable. FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council . This council certifies that the paper mills are following strict procedures in managing their forests. The FSC makes sure the forests are managed properly and not depleted and that new trees can grow, conserving the biological diversity, water, soil and ecosystems surrounding the forests.
